Whenever your browser views secure web pages it
usually displays a lock or a key telling the viewer the data shown on
this particular web page is secure and safe. In order for the page to
be considered safe, ALL the data including images, pages, and more need
to be on the secured site.
However, sometimes it is necessary for parts of our company system to display images with http: (non-secure) links. For example, when providing clients banners and advertising materials to go to market, we provide you unsecured links and display the banners on the page for selection. For this reason, you may sometimes experience a warning pop-up warning you of mixed website content (photo of warning box attached to this article).
You can click "yes" on this warning box if you wish to display the non-secure content, "no" if you do not wish to display this content OR you can change your browser settings to not prompt you with a warning box:
1) Open
Internet Explorer
2) Click on
Tools
3) Click on
Internet Options
4) Click on
the Security Tab
5) Click on
the Custom Level button
6) Under
the Miscellaneous section look for "Display Mixed Content"
7) Click on
"Disable" for Display Mixed Content instead of Prompt if you wish to block all non-secure content, Click "Enable" if you wish to see the non-secure content.
8) Click on
OK twice
9) Close
Internet Explorer and reopen
10) Open
the web page that was displaying the warning message, the message should
not appear now.
It is recommended that you leave your security settings on "Prompt" and just click "yes" on the warnings when using Internet Explorer in BBS Global Diamond Elite, but if the warnings prove to be too annoying, you can make one of the above changes.
